Endtime Revival–Spirit-Led and Spirit-Controlled; A Response Paper to Resolution 16
Recently, Bethel Sozo Research lovingly warned an Assemblies of God pastor about the practice of "sozo" he promotes to his congregation. The pastor said that the "sozo" practice is from the Holy Spirit. He also said that Bill Johnson preaches accurately. Oddly, there was not a hint of "sozo" information to be found anywhere on this pastor's official church website, but the pastor does indeed teach on sozo verbally in another forum. When asked for more information on sozo, the pastor directed people straight to Bethel Church's sozo ministry page.
Why isn't "sozo" listed on the church website? Is the pastor aware that Bill Johnson's teachings are frowned upon by the Assemblies of God Church? What does the Assemblies of God organization do if its churches start following aberrant teachings and practices?
A manager at the official Assemblies of God headquarters has advised BSRG recently that if Christians know of an Assemblies of God Church that teaches something erroneous (the Bethel Church "sozo" practice would fall into this category, in our opinion and based on our research and study of the scriptures), they should contact the specific district office of Assemblies of God (click here). The district offices address false teachings on the local level.
