Thanks for visiting this site! I am a freelance writer since 2009. I became a Christian in 2005.
God has allowed me to gain a plethora of knowledge about the practice of sozo, and not without some heartache! In addition to personal experience, in the years past, I have spent much of my time and effort, free of any financial gain, compiling information and factual research. Why do I do this?
I do this to help and love others. What do we really live for if not to make life easier for one another and to love one another? I have seen up close the horrible effects sozo and the false, deceptive teachings at Bethel Church can have on a person and even entire families and churches. In fact, it can change a person completely for the worse. Galatians 5:9 says, "This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough!" (nlv). Like the effect of yeast in bread, isn't it amazing how much damage a little deception can do?
It is my sincere belief, a belief based on years of personal experience, very careful, dynamic research and investigation, and rightly dividing Bible truth, that sozo is a dangerous practice (and Bethel Church a deceptive organization). To remain silent; therefore, would not be very loving on my part. Proverbs 27:5 says better is open rebuke than hidden love, and I pray that what I speak on this website would be truly life-giving and freeing for the souls of others. I hope and pray that others would see the heart behind these articles!
As I mentioned, I believe that with my knowledge on this topic, one purpose of mine is to help people, that is, to "sozo" them from sozo. Only God Himself can truly save or "sozo" someone from this practice. Sounds ironic, I know: the word sozo from the Greek origin (Strong's Concordance number 4982) literally means to "save, heal, preserve or rescue; to deliver out of danger and into safety". Wherever there are false, deceptive, dangerous teachings, there is danger for the believer (2 John 1:11, etc). Doesn't God call us to at least attempt to help rescue people from deceptive practices and teachings? That is what the early Christians did:
"And others save [sozo] with fear, pulling them out of the fire..." (Jude 1:23)It doesn't always work. I have found that silence is not always golden, and love does speak up. If I can help just one person from the dangers of this sozo practice, it is worth it! And to God be the glory. "And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you..." (2 Corinthians 12:15).
As you can imagine, I have received my share of hateful verbal abuse/slander over the years. Please keep in mind that my goal here is not to offend people, my goal is to truly help people. I do find that people are often offended at the fact/truth itself, and it really has nothing to do with the messenger.
Please let me know how this website has blessed you. I would appreciate your feedback. Please check Bethel Sozo Research out on Facebook!
In God's love,
